Rex is made from Econyl regenerated nylon, sourced from waste that would otherwise be discarded and incinerated, such as old carpets, fishing nets, and industrial waste. These are processed to create a pure re-granulate, ready for the production of the base and backrest. The chair's feet and stacking caps are made from a rubber-like material.

Using injection molding technology, we bring Rex to life at high speed with minimal material waste. This production process, which runs entirely on green energy and ensures low energy consumption for every component, involves injecting liquid plastic into four different molds under high pressure. Once assembled, they form Rex. The material hardens quickly, after which a robotic arm places the component onto the conveyor belt, on its way to the next stage of its journey.
