Rex is made from Econyl regenerated nylon, recovered from waste that would otherwise be discarded and incinerated, such as old carpets, fishing nets, and industrial waste. This is processed into pure re-granulate, ready for the production of the base and backrest. The chair's feet and stacking glides are made from a rubber-like material.

Using injection molding, we bring Rex to life at high speed with minimal material waste. This production process, which runs entirely on green energy and ensures low energy consumption for every component, involves injecting liquid plastic under high pressure into four different molds. Once assembled, these form Rex. The material hardens quickly, after which a robotic arm places the component onto the conveyor belt, on its way to the next part of its journey.
