The foundation is upcycling: from waste stream to new product.

Our product development rests on four circular pillars: reusing existing raw materials, designing furniture with a long lifespan, ensuring parts are easy to repair, and, once the usage phase ends, fully recycling them into new, high-quality raw material. For us, circularity is not an ambition but a standard. This is our way of working: a closed, future-proof material loop.

Every design deserves a second life.

Both existing and new designs are given the chance to come to life again with us. For example, we completely redeveloped the award-winning Rex design and brought it back into production, earning it new international accolades and inclusion in the permanent collections of leading design museums. The Kwart chair and the Scala armchair & sofa have also been re-released, this time crafted from high-quality recycled plastics, ensuring that iconic design seamlessly blends with future-proof circularity.

About us

In search of the perfect circular raw material.

All our designs are crafted from renewable or recycled raw materials. For every design, we research which materials perform best in terms of aesthetics, strength, operational utility, and circularity. The result is a high-quality end product that excels in longevity, design, affordability, comfort, and a fully circular material flow.

We primarily work with widely used and easily recyclable plastics and materials, such as polyamide, polypropylene, EPS, aluminum, metal, latex, and various types of foam. We recover these raw materials from recycling centers, industrial waste, harbor networks, and other local sources. They come from discarded products such as carpets, fishing nets, toys, garden chairs, and countless everyday items used by consumers and businesses.
To keep our material cycle transparent and future-proof, we consciously choose not to use certain raw materials. For instance, we currently avoid PET from plastic bottles, felt, and rubber, as these materials are less suitable for our circular design and production method at this time.

Start of production.

All our products are manufactured on an industrial scale to ensure consistent quality, keep the environmental impact per product as low as possible, and offer a competitive market price. For every product series, we carefully select our production locations, choosing domestic and international factories that meet our quality and sustainable production requirements. Not everything can be produced in the Netherlands, but components coming from more than 500 km away from Utrecht are transported by train to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions.

Our Italian production site is a great example of this: the factory runs entirely on green energy from a local hydroelectric plant, the office is powered by its own solar panels, and the location is situated right next to a freight station, allowing products to be transported efficiently and with minimal emissions. This is how we combine high-quality industrial production with the smallest possible footprint.

Every piece of furniture, a long and circular life.

Our products are designed for an exceptionally long lifespan. And if you’re ready for something else one day? We’ll gladly take the furniture back. You can simply drop it off or we can pick it up, and you will always receive your deposit back, regardless of the product's condition. Because a kilo of plastic remains a kilo of plastic, and therefore always retains its value within our closed material cycle.

This take-back and deposit system is unique within the Dutch contract furniture market, and we are proud that more and more companies are following this circular example.

Everything okay?

Every piece of furniture we receive first undergoes a thorough quality check. We assess each component to see if it can be reused or processed into new raw material. When parts are still in excellent condition, we reinstall them and offer the furniture as a high-quality second-life product.

Returning your furniture to us or one of our designated drop-off locations truly makes an impact. It allows us to close the material cycle, reduce waste, and work together toward a livable world for our children and grandchildren.

Back to the beginning.

When a product or component can no longer be repaired, we process it back into high-quality raw material. Plastic is shredded, purified, and converted into re-granulate, which allows us to produce the exact same product again. This keeps the material entirely within our closed loop, ensuring it never loses its value. How often this process can be repeated depends on the raw material.

In addition to plastic, we are happy to take back other materials for recycling, such as EPS, various foams, aluminum, steel, and upholstery fabrics. In this way, we return all material streams to their origin and close the full material cycle every single time.

Our foundation is upcycling: turning waste streams into high-quality products. We then keep the entire material cycle closed, ensuring every raw material can be reused.
