EPS / polystyrene

What is EPS? EPS (Expanded Polystyrene), also known as Styrofoam, is a lightweight, white polystyrene foam. Originally developed for insulation, it is now also widely used as protective packaging material.

The material is sorted by color, checked for cleanliness for further processing, and inspected for nails or other hard debris. It is then processed into a rigid, durable base material for our furniture. These foam frames contain at least 80% recycled EPS.

We compress the collected materials into large blocks, which are then cut into shapes such as furniture frames. Circular design: no glue or bolts, fully demountable and recyclable. From waste to seating comfort: Our furniture frames, built from recycled EPS, provide a sturdy foundation. The inner core (seat foam) is made from reused foam, while the fabric comes from sustainable, circular textile waste streams. Smart design: easy to disassemble, repair, and recycle. Zero waste: return scheme with a deposit; return for a refund if desired. Flexible use: easy to move or reconfigure, either by the user or with the help of Circuform. Sustainable design principle: "borrow from the chain, return after use."
