Mode Design Hotel Modez is located in the heart of Arnhem. Studio Piet Paris (fashion illustrator) conceived the unique hotel concept, designed the logo, and is responsible for the art direction.

For the interior design of the hotel rooms, Paris invited a number of Dutch fashion designers, many of whom studied at the Arnhem art academy or have a studio in the city. The name Modez is a combination of Mode, Design, and ArtEZ, formerly the Arnhem art academy. More than thirty Dutch fashion designers and creatives lent their names to a room and devised surprising concepts that characterise their style.
